The entire team at Ideal Concepts has the heart of a teacher. Our goal is to inform and connect. We believe that successful businesses are made up of 2 things: Healthy Business Habits and Relationships. If we can lead you and your company into a healthier, thriving state, then we have succeeded.

History

In the early 1960’s F. Doyle Wood and Company, a small bookkeeping and tax firm, was established by Fred D. Wood in the north Houston area. By the 1970’s, Fred’s wife Mildred joined the team and the business relocated to Tidwell Road. Many business relationships were established, the business grew, and 3 of their children were raised in that office. In the 80’s the company moved to the Greenspoint Area and has been there ever since.

In 1992, Fred received his Certified Public Account license and began to practice as Fred Doyle Wood, P.C. We serve clients of all sizes, from all over Texas and beyond. Today, family still plays a large role. Fred’s daughter Kresha is an enrolled agent, working primarily with income taxes and small business bookkeeping and payroll. Fred’s grandson, Zeke joined the team in 2011. He is a graduate of McCombs School of Business at UT Austin and is currently sitting for his CPA exams.

Beginning 2014, Kresha and Zeke transitioned to play the leading roles in the company. The name was changed to Ideal Concepts, Inc. and was endorsed by Dave Ramsey in the middle of the year.  Fred consulted as a CPA until he passed away in December of 2017, but we are sure he is still doing taxes. His wife Mildred now lives with Kresha and works with clients she has known for over 30 years.
